The GPA have recently made a decision that it is best to be an independent club for the foreseeable future and have withdrawn our affiliation with the RYA with immediate effect. In order to promote Local powerboat racing and encourage newcomers into the sport, costs have been lowered to allow anyone with an interest in becoming part of the club an easier way to have a go and try it before committing fully.

The GPA have gained World Wide recognition for providing race meetings in a professional manner with a flawless safety record due to our highly trained officials.

An open evening has been arranged at the Guernsey Yacht Club on Saturday 6th January 2018 for anyone who is interested in being involved with the GPA, whether that is guard boating, training as an official, racing, becoming a social member or sponsoring the club to come along and meet the members.

There are many classes in which boats can compete. The GPA will accommodate any race boat providing it is not overpowered, anyone wanting to race can come along to the open evening and speak to various teams and officials who will advise you whether the rig you have is suitable for our racing.

Race dates have been published on the GPA Facebook page and posters will be displayed around the island. We hope to have the support of the Local media to help raise awareness of our events in 2018 and welcome you to join us at our events.
