The Guernsey Powerboat Association (GPA) is an independent sports club and has over 100 members.

–As a premier location for powerboat racing, Guernsey is well placed to hold events. Guernsey has a history of organising successful powerboat events, dating back to the early 80’s. More recently it was the 2014 World Championship event that bought it back firmly onto the map. Around 3000 spectators lined the castle emplacement to watch the event plus many more visitors attended from Sweden, Norway, Belgium and the UK to support the event.

–Everyone who attended the Worlds would agree that it was a most memorable race series enjoyed by all on and off the water. The organising committee have learnt a great deal from the event and are now building on that experience to exceed the standard achieved in 2014.

–A better location could not be found in the eyes of a racer, not only because of the beauty our Island has to offer but the navigation around rocks, into bays and unpredictable seas making it an exciting venue.
